Wanaka in Winter

Well...this is about all I can manage on crutches at the moment, but it was good to get out for a short 'walk'.

After a couple of bad sprains on my left ankle over the last few years I've finally made it through the wait list to get some work done on it. Quite alot of work as it turned out but not enough to stop me being able to get out at the key moments.

The old Wanaka willow tree is one of the New Zealand spots that is a bit of a magnet for photographers from all over the world these days. Probably because it is just a short walk from the car, but also because no two photographs of it are ever the same. The moods are constantly changing here and the lake levels go up and down depending what weather the mountains have been getting.
